Defensive Pistol 1 (DP1)<\/h1>\n

Defensive Pistol 1 is the next step after Learn to Shoot 1 and 2.<\/p>\n

This is not a class for someone who has never fired a pistol. You must have some experience and formal training-see below.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Defensive Pistol 1 will greatly improve your skill in:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    Drawing from concealment<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n

    Positive threat and target identification and engagement<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n

    De-escalation<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n

    Rapid acquisition of your line of sight<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n

    Ability to shoot faster and more accurately<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n

    Reloading, both emergency (slide lock) and Proactive (also known as Administrative or Tactical Reloads)<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n

    Thinking and acting under stress<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n

    Shooting\/reloading while moving<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n

    Shooting from different positions<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n

    Use of cover & concealment<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Our DP1 class lays the next level of your foundation as a Concealed Carry practitioner, or as someone who has a gun for home defense. And in our TPS Method style, we make the class fun, informative and easy to understand.<\/p>\n

    In order to attend this class, you must meet the following requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • You must have competed LTS 1 or an equivalent class<\/li>\n
    • Have your own modern pistol and at least 2 magazines<\/li>\n
    • Have your own holster and spare magazine carrier<\/li>\n
    • Wear proper pants with belt loops and a dedicated gun belt, such as the Kore belt.<\/li>\n
    • Supply your own new, factory made ammunition.<\/li>\n
    • **Prior students may message us to secure guns and gear if you have taken a class with us but have not gotten your LTC yet. This is first come, first serve. <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      TPS Method Tactical Class Policy:
      \nAll sales final.
      \nStudents are allowed to transfer or reschedule a class. Student must notify and get authorization at least 24 hours in advance of the class date.
      \nReschedules are allowed twice.
      \nStudents who no show (fail; to attend) to any class forfeit their tuition with no recourse.<\/p>\n

      All live fire classes are held at our private range in Hooksett NH unless otherwise noted.\u00a0Address will be sent after enrollment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

      1. Can anyone attend?<\/strong>\u00a0Yes, as long as you have no criminal record or domestic orders against you and are not prohibited by law from handling firearms.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. What do I need to bring?<\/strong>\u00a0You need to supply your own drinks, snacks and sunscreen\/bug spray. We advise long pants, a hat and that you bring a jacket. Class is rain or shine, hot or cold. Ammo, eye and ear protection are available to use if you do not have your own.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. Can I use my own gun?\u00a0<\/strong>Yes! As long as you are legally permitted to own it and carry it at the class location.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
